I'm in my 60s raising grandkids, something I never expected would happen at this time in my life. My aging mother needs me more as she struggles with the later stages of life, and then there's everyday life and all that it brings. When you think it's time to slow down, everything speeds up.
If I'm being totally honest, it scares the living daylights out of me to face the chronic illnesses running through the women in my family - being unable to move, having the things I love taken away. But this is what keeps me doing what needs to be done each day.
